Website: http://iclahd.org Literature is an art that reflects the social life and expresses the author’s thoughts and feelings by shaping images with language as the means. Art is a social ideology that uses images to reflect reality but is more typical than reality. Literature is one of the forms of expression belonging to art, and they are difficult to be separated by a clear boundary, but create more imagination space for people. We hope to have a deeper discussion on this respect. Therefore, 2023 5th International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Development (ICLAHD 2023) was held during October 20 to 22, 2023, in Chengdu, China (hybrid form). The Conference provided a high-profile, leading-edge forum for innovative academics and industrial experts to present the state-of-the-art advances and innovations in the fields of literature, art and human development, as well as to identify emerging research topics and define the future. This year, ICLAHD 2023 focused on the latest research and technology of literature, art and human development to discuss the innovation and development in related fields. It brought together about 180 participants and featured a robust technical program of peer-reviewed papers and invited keynote lectures. Many renowned professors delivered dramatic keynote speeches during the Conference. Associate Professor Chengqing Zhao (Sichuan University, China) addressed a keynote speech on the title Ingenuity, Technology and Modern China: Camera, Phonograph and Typewriter. From the second half of the nineteenth century to the beginning of the twentieth century, camera, phonograph and typewriter began to be introduced into China with the development of the Westernization Movement and the infiltration of Western culture to the east. Driven by the development of consumer culture and industry, the camera, phonograph and typewriter represent the variation of esthetic modernity and social modernity, and through images, sounds and words, they also shape the image of modern China from the perspective of the knowledge production and dissemination. The insightful speeches of each keynote speakers triggered heated and interesting discussions and a good number of informal talks between all the participants. This volume covers topics on all fields of research related to literature, art and human development, including Chinese Literary Translation, Ecological Literature, Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Film and Television Management, History and Social Development, Humanistic Concern, etc., increasing the number of scientific publications for science and technology innovation. We would like to thank all the participants in the 2023 5th International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Development. We are also grateful to all the Committee Members, for the work and preparation they put in to organize this great event.
