- Abstract
This research takes the digital protection and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage as its research object, focusing on the application of augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and social media technologies in optimizing the tourist experience and promoting cultural dissemination. Empirical research was conducted in three national-level intangible cultural heritage projects through a hybrid research approach, combining quantitative questionnaires with qualitative interviews. The results show that digital experiences significantly enhance tourists’ participation, memory retention rate and willingness to share. Among them, immersion, interactivity and social connection are identified as the three key factors influencing the communication effect. This study has constructed a dual-wheel drive model of “digital immersion - social communication”, providing a theoretical framework and practical path for the digital communication of intangible cultural heritage, and has reference significance for the digital transformation of cultural heritage institutions.
