Abstract

In order to solve the problem of surface defects on line detection in the production of cast iron castings, this paper describe an on-line detection system for casting surface defects based on PMAC motion control card, moreover,it analyzes the factors affecting the acquisition of high quality images, studies on the effects of motion velocity, exposure time, the angle between the light source and the camera on the image acquisition in detail and optimizes the impact parameters. Online experiments show that the control system has stable operation, good robustness, high control precision and stable image acquisition, which can meet the requirements of the actual engineering.
