This volume contains invited and contributed papers from 2016 3rd International Conference on Mechatronics and Information Technology (ICMIT 2016) held in Shenzhen, on 9-10 April 2016. These selected papers reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the conference and the diversity of topics is an important feature of this conference, enabling an overall perception of several important scientific and technological trends.
