Abstract

Our paper focuses on the issue of motivational preconditions of leadership development in the process of professional training. The paper presents theoretical and empirical results of the study of professional motives formation peculiarities that influence optimization of students’ leadership qualities in the conditions of an educational process and discusses innovative motivational and leadership approach to becoming a professional. We made emphasis on the fact that the activity is multimotivated and encouraged by a group of conscious and unconscious motives. In our empirical study, we found that leadership is determined by certain motivational prerequisites, which combine the need for success, recognition, respect, and power. Motivation for success is formed on their basis; in the process of professional training future specialists are optimized for leadership potential as evidenced by their level of communicational and organizational skills development. We substantiated that educational training project for students should be included in the educational process. We gave the example of the training program content. The topic of the program: “Motivation of staff to successful leadership”. We also determined the stages of professional motivation formation.
