Website: https://difcon.mmu.edu.my/ictim.html This proceedings comprises 31 selected papers which were presented at the second International Conference on Technology and Innovation Management 2022 (ICTIM 2022). This virtual conference was successfully organized by the Centre for Knowledge and Innovation Management (CEKIM), Faculty of Management, Multimedia University, Malaysia. This conference which carried the theme ‘Humanizing Innovation for Sustainability’ brought together academic researchers, industry players, policymakers, and civil society leaders to engage and share the latest trends and development in technology and innovation management. The conference took place on 25–27 July 2022. ICTIM 2022 was one of the six co-located conferences under the Digital Futures International Congress (DIFCON 2022), organized by Multimedia University, Malaysia. DIFCON provided a multidisciplinary platform for gathering scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds to disseminate ongoing research related to digital futures of our society, following the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’. Papers in this proceedings are categorized based on two conference tracks. The first track was ‘Organizational issues in technology and innovation management’. Topics under this track comprised entrepreneurial culture in innovation, human capital and knowledge management, leadership, teamwork, and innovative behaviour, institutional collaboration, and social networks, data analytics, design thinking, financial investment in innovation, innovation strategy and value chains, intellectual property rights (IPR) and technology transfer, operation and supply chain management, project management, risk management and business continuity, technology and market/service readiness level, and total quality management (TQM). The second track was ‘Impact of innovation on society and nation building’. Among the topics covered were innovation value creation, evidence-based innovations, innovation for international development, impact of innovation on society and environment, innovation and impact investment, human-centred design in innovations, role of innovation in humanitarian aid, and futuristic innovation. We are pleased to note that about two-thirds of these articles are from the innovation impact track. This is a good sign that our researchers have now gradually moved from fundamental research to exploring various ways to create research and innovation impacts in the society and to contribute towards global sustainable agenda. It is hoped that this effort will pave the way for greater international collaboration across research and practice in all fields related to technology and innovation management.
