Abstract

A functional safety pressure transmitter (SPPT) which was based on self-diagnostic is introduced. Challenge in safe communication is discussed, too. SPPT’s hardware design, software design and diagnostic design is given. Furthermore, the safety communication design of SPPT is introduced, too. At last, a FIT test and FMEDA analysis of SPPT is introduced, and a markov model is established. According test, analysis and modelling, the SPPT can achieve SIL2 level.
