Abstract

This study investigates the role of Supply Chain Quality Management 4.0 (SCQM4.0), the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies with supply chain and quality management practices to enhance economic, environmental, and social sustainability. Focusing on Vietnam’s garment industry, the research provides empirical evidence on how digital transformation supports sustainable performance. Guided by the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is applied to survey data from 221 garment firms to examine the effects of organizational and technological enablers, including top management support, human resource capabilities, IT infrastructure, and supply chain integration. The results indicate that these factors significantly contribute to sustainable performance, whereas technological awareness and vertical information sharing exhibit limited direct effects. By offering one of the first empirical examinations of SCQM4.0 in a developing-country context, this study extends existing literature and provides practical insights for organizations pursuing sustainability-oriented digital transformation.
