Abstract

The paper is on the semantic-stylistic functioning of the common saying (quote) from "The Mountain Wreath", a poem by Petar Petrovic-Njegos, in headlines of the Serbian publicistic texts. On the material selected from the contemporary Serbian newspapers and magazines the types of the structural-semantic transformation of this common saying in modern journalistic discourse are analyzed.
