Abstract

The problem of the artistic canon in Russian literature of the 1910s is analyzed in the article. Low-studied notes and marginalia in the books and magazines of Alexander Blok's personal library are in described in the article. It is proved that in the post-symbolism epoch Blok understands the necessity to overview the term 'literature canon' which he describes as a system of constants and innovations in the aspect of creative work philosophy.
