Abstract

In the context of smart operation applications for general national and provincial trunk highways, prevalent challenges include inconsistent spatiotemporal references, fragmented and heterogeneous data, incompatible interface standards, and insufficient adaptability of smart applications. These issues hinder reliable interoperability across systems, levels, and regions in terms of monitoring data, operation status, and business instructions. Consequently, they significantly constrain the improvement of integrated management, control, and service capabilities within smart road networks. This study introduces the concept of spatiotemporal consensus, aiming to achieve data collaboration, business integration, and intelligent adaptation in the smart operation of standard trunk highways. It organizes the structure of multi-source information and defines the interface interaction requirements for trunk highways. Furthermore, it develops a standardized, scalable, and highly adaptable smart operation information interface framework while analyzing key implementation technologies and interaction mechanisms within the framework. Finally, the application pilots confirm the framework's effectiveness in tackling issues, such as data silos and interaction barriers in the intelligent operation of standard trunk highways, thereby offering technical backing for smart monitoring, collaborative management, and travel services on these highways.
