The Kautz Conference on Business and Economics was held successfully from October 8 to 11, 2025, at Széchenyi István University in Győr, Hungary. The central theme of the conference was Transforming Global Challenges into Opportunities: The impact of AI, sustainability, digital transformation on the future of business, economics and society," which provided a framework for discussing the latest research findings.
The Kautz Conference on Business and Economics serves as an international academic forum for scholars, early-career researchers, industry experts, and policy actors to exchange knowledge and critically examine economic, managerial, and institutional transformations shaping contemporary societies. The conference provides a platform for advancing interdisciplinary dialogue on how businesses, economies, and governance systems respond to global uncertainty, technological change, sustainability pressures, and evolving socio-economic contexts.
During the three-day event, 300 participants and more than 200 presenters from 17 countries across three continents, from the United States and Brazil through Europe to India and Indonesia, presented their latest research. The successful organization of the conference and the compilation of this volume are the result of extensive international cooperation. Among the featured speakers at the conference were Dr. Rahul Razdan (Raztech Research Institute, USA), who examines the impact of virtual goods on economic indicators and regulation; Prof. Dr. Jessica Lichy (IDRAC Business School, France), who analyzes issues of consumer trust and brand loyalty shaped by artificial intelligence; Prof. Vincent Dutot (EM Normandie Business School, France), who gave a presentation on the advantages and challenges of mixed research methods applied in management sciences; Prof. Dr. Amanda Cecil (Indiana University Indianapolis, USA), who presented the economic and social impacts of tourism, sports, and cultural events; and Prof. Dr. Jason Turner (Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation), who focused on the human advantages that can be preserved in a world of AI-supported work.
This three-day event served not only to present scientific results but also to build networks and lay the foundations for future research collaborations. During the plenary lectures, poster sessions, and parallel sessions, participants actively exchanged ideas on the development of global trade, economic policy, and sustainability goals. On behalf of the scientific committee, I am pleased to present the selected articles, which will be published in Atlantis Press's Advances in Economics, Business and Management Research series and submitted for evaluation to CPCI (WoS), EI Compendex, and Scopus. I am confident that this publication will serve as a valuable resource for all scholars and practitioners committed to expanding economic knowledge and promoting sustainable development.
