The Proceedings of KIMLI 2021 are a collection of papers that have been presented at the International Congress of Indonesian Linguistic Society (KIMLI) 2021 which will take place from 18 to 21 August 2021 in Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The seminar was held by the Indonesian Linguistic Society, an association that brings together graduates, lecturers, practitioners and experts in the field of linguistics in Indonesia.

The theme of the 2021 KIMLI Congress is "The Archipelago Language of the Multiculturalism of the Nation". Following this theme, the selected papers in this proceedings discuss various current issues in the fields of linguistics, corpus linguistics, computational linguistics, landscape linguistics, forensic linguistics, sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, anthropolinguistics, ethnolinguistics, language and politics, language and culture, language and the Covid-19 Pandemic).

The Proceedings of KIMLI 2021 were realized in collaboration with the Central KIMLI Association (Jakarta) with the Makassar Branch of KIMLI, Hasanuddin University, Makassar and various parties who support this.

Hopefully, these results can contribute to the development of science in the field of linguistics.
