Abstract

A simple and effective method has been used to prepare graphene oxide and/or partially reduced graphene oxide–polypyrrole (GO/Ppy and PRGO/Ppy) composite with sandwich structures by using the soft template method. In the case of GO/Ppy8, a high specific capacitance of 456 F/g at a current density of 2 A/g and the capacitance retention ratio of about 68% when the current density increases from 300 mA/g to 5 A/g were obtained, indicating its potential for use as an electrode material for supercapacitors.
