- Abstract
With the development of the times, adolescent psychological issues have received widespread attention, but research on the impact of peer relationships on adolescent psychology during high school remains insufficient. This paper analyzes adolescent characteristics and multiple reasons why peer relationships in high school affect adolescents’ psychology. It concludes that adolescents’ psychological characteristics mainly include three aspects: possession of abstract thinking and logical reasoning abilities, emotional sensitivity and volatility, and emphasis on others’ recognition. Peer relationships in high school affect adolescent psychology: psychologically, adolescents are vulnerable due to abstract thinking, emotional fluctuations, and emphasis on friendship; systemically, exam-oriented education competition, school management systems, and parental anxiety exacerbate negative impacts. Based on this, the paper proposes the following suggestions: For schools and courses, promote home-school collaboration among teachers, integrate mutual assistance culture into courses, and optimize school environment and evaluation systems. For families, guide rational views on peers and organize more activities. For society, actively establish community service networks, collaborate with institutions, and improve early warning mechanisms. For policies, promote educational equity and pay attention to special groups.
