Website: http://www.icmied.org The 2023 International Conference on Management Innovation and Economy Development (MIED 2023) was held in Qingdao, China, from July 28 to 30, 2023 (hybrid conference). The conference was created with the aim to be an interdisciplinary incubator for the worldwide exchange of innovative ideas and information about the latest research results in relevant fields. At MIED 2023, we wished to bring together a broad community of researchers from different branches of the rapidly developing complexity science to discuss the fundamental theoretical challenges as well as experimental and applied aspects of many practical problems. The program of MIED 2023 was prepared based on three categories. The conference attracted about 60 participants from more than ten countries. There were five keynote speeches and many regular oral talks in the morning and afternoon sessions. The topics of speeches covered: a) Future-proof Economic, Digital, and Technological Development? b) Carparks Price Indices Based on Mixed Method Approach; c) Lottery Preference and Anomalies; d) The Impact of Enterprise Digital Capability on Employee Job Performance: From the Perspective of Employee Learning; etc. The speeches allowed all the participants to interact with the speakers and people around as well as get some new insights from each other. An academic discussion part was also held, the topic of which was related to the recent and anticipated future progress in management innovation and economy development, discussing a variety of questions and opinions important for the understanding of the technology and management methods of economy development. The papers submitted to this volume were carefully reviewed by referees, covering topics on: technological innovation and management, international operation management, human resource management, low carbon/green economy, artificial intelligence and Internet economy, etc. We are very grateful to the referees for their very efficient and thoughtful actions. A few submitted papers were unfortunately not included based on the referee reports. As a result, about 35 papers are included here. We are very grateful to the members of the International Technical Program Committee for their time and hard efforts in preparing the program of MIED 2023. We also appreciate the behind-the-scenes work of the members of the organizing committee in preparing the conference site, arrangements for excursions and accommodation, handling the financial support for participants, and so on.
