Abstract

The rapid development of the large-scale equipment promotes the investigation on flow around rotating cylin-drical aerodynamic characteristics at supercritical Reynolds number. In this paper, the flow past a rotating cyl-inder at supercritical Reynolds number has been studied using the computational fluid dynamic methods where the k- turbulence model is adopted. It is found that the flow around the rotating cylinder changing law of flow field have been investigated, lift and drag force characteristics have also been analysis at super-critical Reynolds number condition.
