Abstract

This paper highlights a simple procedure to simulate stresses in a Tunnel when the excavation is being progressed. The paper is based on use of PHASE2 software which is a simple 2D software and needs no special training. This remains to be an important aspect for predicting displacement while using NATM in order to calibrate the supports
