Website: http://www.icsdmc.net/ This Proceedings contains the selected papers of 2023 3rd International Conference on Social Development and Media Communication (SDMC 2023), which was held via virtual form in Xishuangbanna, China, from November 3 to 5, 2023. The 3rd SDMC was aimed at the academic and scientific community and the productive sectors of the region, with the aim of disseminating academic and research work; moreover, it promoted the exchange of experiences between researchers as well as the participation of the productive sectors in research, extension, technological development, and innovation activities, contributing to strengthening the relationship among universities, enterprises, and institutions. This Conference was articulated with different topics around the themes of Social Development and Media Communication to discuss on the research findings, possibilities as well as challenges. The relevance of SDMC 2023 themed on a wide range of disciplines is reflected in the papers that have been submitted for publication. The topics covered in the Proceedings include: Sociology and Development, Sustainable Economic Development, Education Innovation and Reform in Intelligent Age, Inheritance and Dissemination of Language and Culture, etc. All the papers, having been reviewed through a double-blind review process, are original contributions to the topics and shown the research works that are doing in the fields of the described themes. We had about 80 participants all around the world. The scientific program of the Conference was composed of keynote speech, oral presentation, poster presentation, and academic investigation. Among the keynote speakers, Prof. Asad Khalil from Southwest University of Political Science and Law, China, made a report on “Media Communication and Social Transformation: The Legal Framework”. He explored the pivotal role of the legal framework in shaping and guiding media communication’s impact on societal transformation and also discussed the challenges and opportunities presented by the evolving digital landscape and how legal regulations adapt to it. The brilliant speeches of each speaker provided a feast of knowledge for all the participants, bringing reflections and enlightenment to them and allowing them to communicate with each other and get some academic advice or suggestion from the experts. Our sincere thanks and gratitude go to all the participants for making SDMC 2023 such a comprehensive Conference and so fruitful a Proceedings and thus contributed to the enhancement and development of related research fields. Special acknowledgment goes to the members of Atlantis Press for making this Proceedings published.
