Abstract

On the road of popularizing Putonghua and helping to get rid of poverty, the role of Putonghua is self-evident. The promotion of Putonghua is not only to solve the language problem, but also to get rid of the cultural and ideological poverty, promote the social and economic development of the country, and highlight the unity of the people. At the four session of the thirteen National People’s Congress, when the Inner Mongolia delegation deliberated, general secretary Xi Jinping stressed: “cultural identity is the deepest identification, the root of national unity and the soul of national harmony. We should conscientiously do a good job in popularizing the national common language and characters, and comprehensively promote the use of national unified textbooks. “ As an important carrier of language and culture, the popularization of national common language will help consolidate the important cornerstone of language identity and make national common language become an important symbol of national identity and national image.

The study points out that there is a close relationship between language and social economy, and the promotion of Putonghua is obviously an indispensable part of poverty alleviation. Targeted measures should be taken for different situations in different regions. And today, with the Internet so developed, we can completely change the previous methods and achieve efficient results by taking advantage of the Internet. In addition, since we are a multi-ethnic country, we should retain this feature, ensure the popularization rate of Putonghua, and do a good job in the protection and inheritance of national languages (dialects), not only improve the overall quality of national citizens, but also retain the diversity of national languages and cultures, and strive to build a strong sense of Chinese national community.
