Abstract

The frequent occurrence of high betrothal gifts in rural areas has aroused widespread concern in society and aroused strong interest in academia. This paper explores the phenomenon of sky-high bride price in rural areas, and analyzes the reasons for the phenomenon of sky-high bride price from the individual level, government level, and social level by consulting literature; analyzes the impact of sky-high bride price phenomenon from three levels: individual, society and government. So as to propose solutions in three aspects: individual, society and government.
