Abstract

This paper presents a composite 6UPS-6SPS parallel mechanism (PM) based on the Stewart platform for the multidimensional loading test toward the thrust bearing (TB). Analysis such as on the degree of freedom (DoF), kinematic, statics and Jacobian matrix is carried out. Meanwhile, a composite continuous stiffness testing method for the TB without changing the boundary conditions is proposed.
