The 19th International Conference of the Asia Association of Computer-Assisted Language Learning (AsiaCALL 2022) was hosted by Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), Ha Noi, Vietnam, from November 26 to 27, 2022. There were 254 authors/delegates from 18 different countries, such as Australia (1), Bangladesh (5), Bosnia Herzegovina (1), China (3), Ethiopia (6), Germany (1), India (6), Japan (2), Malaysia (16), Morocco (3), Nepal (2), Pakistan (2), Philippines (35), Russia (1), Saudi Arabia (1), South Korea (1), The USA (1), and Vietnam (178). The conference was hybrid: virtual mode for delegates outside Vietnam and face-to-face mode for both local and international delegates.

The mission of the AsiaCALL International Conference is to give researchers, educators, and teachers from all over the world a place to share their teaching experience and their research. Selected full papers presented at the AsiaCALL International Conference will be published in the Conference Proceedings and Journals with Open Access to share the participants’ research and teaching experiences. Furthermore, ASIACALL is a place where members can network and share work and research interests with other professionals in the field to maintain collaboration and advocate for the use of technology in educational environments.

In terms of full-paper publications, many papers have been selected to be considered for publication in the Proceedings of Atlantis Press, part of Springer Nature. Some papers have been published in the AsiaCALL Online Journal (ISSN: 1936–9859). Others have been published in the Proceedings of the AsiaCALL International Conference (ISSN: 2833-6836, ISBN: 979-8-9870112-1-8). In addition, some papers have been considered for publication in the International Journal of TESOL & Education (ISSN: 2768-4563) and the International Journal of Language Instruction (ISSN: 2833-230X).

It is really wonderful to note that after 19 conferences and despite a proliferation of journals and conferences over recent years, AsiaCALL continues to be a leader in the field and attracts large numbers of participants from all over the world. This is a clear message of continuing interest and confidence in the association, which has always done its best to be accessible to and supportive of scholars from everywhere.

We are sure that all AsiaCALLers enjoyed their time during the conference and that they benefited academically and socially, and that, at the conclusion of the conference, they were reinvigorated and returned to their homes with many new ideas and a greater willingness to undertake new research or try out something novel in their teaching of languages.

Most of all, we hope that AsiaCALLers enjoyed new, valuable, and long-lasting personal and professional friendships and that they will join us again next year for the 20th International AsiaCALL Conference.
