- Abstract
In the digital era, the adoption of cashless payment systems has accelerated, with QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) emerging as a key innovation in Indonesia’s financial ecosystem. This study investigates the effect of Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use on QRIS transaction adoption among millennial users, with Attitude Toward Use serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using purposive sampling, yielding 200 valid responses from millennial QRIS users in Banjarbaru City. Data was analyzed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique with SmartPLS 4.0. The findings reveal that both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use significantly influence QRIS adoption directly and indirectly through attitude. Moreover, attitude toward use plays a crucial mediating role, strengthening the relationship between these perceptions and adoption behavior. These results affirm the applicability of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in the context of digital payment adoption in emerging markets. This study contributes to the growing literature on digital financial services by providing empirical evidence from Indonesia, while also offering practical insights for policymakers and service providers seeking to enhance QRIS adoption among millennials.
