Abstract

The study aims to analyze the sluicing structure form process in Sundanese. The analysis was conducted towards data in Sundanese. The language data used were written language and intuition language data. The intuition language data were contributed to substantiate written language data. Necessarily, the language data were sorted out based on its potential to form a sluicing structure. Sluicing structure in Sundanese will be revealed by the approach of six diagnostic tests. Those are adjuncts, implicit argument, ‘mention some’ modification, ‘mention all’ modification, ‘else’ modification, and attributive adjectives. Each test explains whether the sentence structure is sluicing or not.
