Abstract

The backwash effect of language testing is a relatively new research field in applied linguistics. The backwash effect of language testing on ESP teaching cannot be ignored. This paper analyses the influence of the English Certificate Examination for Navigation Technology Major on the teaching of English for Navigation Technology Major, and puts forward some measures to improve its positive backwash effect.
