Abstract

The paper deals with one of the possible solutions to the problem of developing linguistic and regional study competence in teaching a foreign language based on the material of historical cultural area of Western Siberia and its capital, Novosibirsk city. The article describes the methods and techniques for working with texts of the textbook "Novosibirsk is the capital of Western Siberia." The manual was created in accordance with the didactic and methodological principles of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Mastering the types of speech activity involves a close relationship with the phonetic, lexical and grammatical aspects of the Russian language and is carried out on the basis of the text centered approach to teaching.
