Abstract

This article describes how the TikTok application can support and complement music learning. The purpose of writing this article is to offer an alternative learning media development through the TikTok application to develop students’ musical competences. The design stages consisted of a) Making TikTok video for an understanding of various musical genres; b) Making a TikTok video about the understanding of the types of traditional musical instruments c) Making a TikTok video introduction to pianica and musical instruments; d) Making TikTok videos for understanding fingering on pianica. The use of TikTok videos as an interactive learning medium is expected to help students understand and accept the music learning process.
