- The competitiveness of tourism destinations is an important thing to have, so that they can maintain tourism sustainability that provides economic, social and environmental benefits. Environmental problems that arise in the implementation of tourism activities make the environmental dimension as one of the dimensions of competitiveness very important. Jakarta as a tourist destination visited by many tourists must pay attention to the competitiveness of the environment. The results of the calculation of the correlation between the amount of waste generation with the number of visitors at 14 tourist destinations in Jakarta shows a close relationship. Tourism development must fulfill as sustainable development, considering that tourism is an industry that must protect nature or the environment in order to be able to provide tourism services.
