The 2018 3rd International Conference on Advances in Materials, Mechatronics and Civil Engineering (ICAMMCE 2018) was held on April 13-15, 2018 in Hangzhou, China. ICAMMCE 2018 is organized by the AEIC Academic Exchange Information Centre, and co-organized by Jiangsu Zhongnan Construction Group Co., Ltd. ICAMMCE 2018 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of materials, mechatronics and civil engineering to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in materials, mechatronics and civil engineering and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in materials, mechatronics and civil engineering and related areas.

All submitted articles should report original, previously unpublished research results, experimental or theoretical. Articles submitted to the conference should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All papers included in those volumes have already passed the strict peer-reviewing by about 50 experts referees and been accepted for publication. Among a total of 200 received papers, 101 are accepted. We hope that those volumes will not only provide the readers a broad overview of the latest advances but also provide the researchers a valuable summary and reference in this field.

The organization of ICAMMCE 2018 and the publication of those volumes were made possible thanks to the tireless dedication of many people.
