- Abstract
This paper has made a systematic research and analysis of Katsushika Hokusai's works, such as Great Waves off Kanagawa and Red Fuji, from the aspects of the origin of Ukiyo-e, its artistic characteristics and cultural connotation. The paper has make an in-depth comparison with the important works of Western impressionism artists, and showed the artistic charm and international influence of Japanese Ukiyo-e culture, to convey the artistic value and cultural spirit of Artist Katsushika Hokusai.
