Abstract

Metaphor and metonyms are widely used in social semiotics, in this paper, multimodal metaphor and metonyms are studied in the promotional video of Guangdong-Hongkong-Macau Great Bay Area, different representations are analyzed, and so is the interaction of these two modes. Through metaphtonymy, an interaction of metaphor and metonym, the energetic and prosperous future of the bay area is portrayed.
