- Abstract
Building a “happy school” is one of the issues of concern in many countries with the goal of creating a friendly, safe and happy teaching and learning environment to motivate teachers and students to improve the quality of teaching in schools. Using a mixed research method, this study aims to identify factors affecting teachers’ intention to build a happy school. A survey of 332 teachers at a number of universities in Vietnam and China. Data were processed using SPSS 25.0 and PLS- SEM 4.0 software. The research results showed that there are 4 influencing factors: people, processes, environment and support conditions. These factors explained 71.6% of the variation in the variable “teachers’ intention to build a happy school”. The results of this study provide evidence that Vietnamese and Chinese universities can use as a reference to strongly promote lecturers’ intentions in building happy schools.
