- Abstract
In the Vietnamese agricultural village community, public opinion plays a role as a mechanism to bind individuals to maintain community stability. As a result, Vietnamese people are often afraid of public opinion, and this has hindered individual development. In the context of Vietnamese people entering the Era of Ascent toward integration and development, the fear of public opinion needs to be reconsidered in relation to social renewal and progress. Current studies on this issue have not yet examined it from a systemic perspective, so approaching the fear of public opinion among Vietnamese people using systemic theory will help us clearly identify the connections and interactions between individuals and the community, thereby proposing a more effective transformation direction. Using the systemic analysis method, this article draws two main conclusions: (1) the fear of public opinion used to be a tool to stabilize the Vietnamese community, and (2) it is necessary to direct the fear of public opinion among Vietnamese people in a positive, progressive direction.
