Abstract

The current development of international trade is fraught with both challenges and opportunities. China is advocating for digital consumption and promoting the deep integration of digital upgrades and industrial transformation. Financial consumption. To better explore the external manifestations and internal synergies of financial consumption, this study uses the “entropy-coupling” model to examine financial consumption in Zhejiang Province, selecting dynamic panel data from 2019 to 2023 to explore its comprehensive development and internal coupling and synergy. Through analysis, it was found that: 1) From the comprehensive score, it was found that from the overall development trend of 2019–2023; 2) From the analysis of the scores of each subsystem, it was found that the financial subsystem was mainly supported by indicators such as credit receipts and payments, deposit and loan balances, etc. Although the growth rate was relatively slow, its trend was stable; the consumption subsystem was driven by indicators such as residents’ income and consumption expenditure. After surpassing the financial subsystem between 2020 and 2023; 3) From the coupling and coordination analysis, it was found that the financial consumption system in Zhejiang Province quickly rose from “severe imbalance” in 2019 to “high-quality coordination” in 2023, indicating that the interaction effect of the two subsystems continued to increase.
