Abstract

This study aims to find out how economic literacy, consumption behavior, and is there a correlation between economic literacy and consumption behavior of Islamic university students in Tangerang City. The population was 1282 students and a sample of 305 students. This research used explanatory survey method. The results showed economic literacy in the medium category, student consumption behavior tended to be rational and there was a positive and significant correlation of economic literacy and student consumption behavior. Implications, making policies about economic literacy in learning to improve rational student consumption behavior.
