- Abstract
Disseminating the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) worldwide proves to be a challenge with cultural differences and different audiences, necessitating urgent development of narrative methods and evaluation process that achieves cultural adaptability. This paper proposes a Multicultural Narrative Adaptation and Effect Evaluation Model (MNAEM) that draws from multimodal narrative generation models. The model first incorporates a cross-cultural knowledge graph alignment mechanism that uses dynamic ontology mapping and cultural salience modeling to integrate local semantics deeply into the global SDG discourse system. Simultaneously, it creates a multimodal narrative generator with multilingual expression and style transfer capabilities, based on an improved Transformer architecture, with an emotion trajectory modeling module generating culturally resonant content in text, image and video. Finally, it incorporates its own narrative effect evaluation engine that mixes quantitative behavioral indicators and qualitative emotional feedback, intelligently classifying and scoring users’ resonance responses using a multilingual BERT structure. Experiments show that the model can improve participation accuracy among cross-cultural audiences by 12.4% over advanced models.
