Welcome to the Proceedings of the 2025 8th International Conference on Humanities Education and Social Sciences (ICHESS 2025). As the eighth edition of the ICHESS conference series, the conference continued to provide an international academic forum for scholars, educators, and researchers to exchange research findings and engage in in-depth discussions on current issues and emerging trends in humanities education and social sciences. ICHESS 2025 covered a wide range of research topics reflecting the interdisciplinary nature and increasing complexity of humanities and social sciences. The conference discussions encompassed studies in humanities and anthropology, human development based on psychological and social concepts, social and evolutionary complexity, human rights, law and justice, and human–environment interactions. Moreover, significant attention was given to the intersections of innovation, technology, and society, including social computing, social media, social network analysis, socio-cognitive-technological systems, learning and behavioral modeling, and knowledge management within the knowledge economy.
