The Opportunity and Challenge of Agricultural E-Commerce Development Under Epidemic Situation

Epidemic (COVID19) has affected many offline businesses. It caused difficulties for agricultural products sell and had a great impact on agriculture. The green marketing channel was urgently in need for promoting the agricultural products sale. E-commerce platforms were facing the development opportunities, which played a “stabilizing” role in digital economy. Developing agricultural E-commerce is not only an expedient measure, but also a long run plan in the future. Under epidemic circumstances, this paper reviewed the main marketing modes and summarized the opportunities and challenges of agricultural e-commerce in China. Eventually it proposed suggestions for development of agricultural e-commerce were as follows: Ensuring the production and marketing connections in this panic period, constructing the production and marketing big strategies; Accelerating industry integration and building ecological supply chain system; the supporting logistics system to ensure the green channel of agricultural products; Innovating the mechanism and accelerating the integration into the development of e-commerce.
