- Abstract
As a humanities discipline, English is an important carrier for scholars to exchange ideas and disseminate language. Colleges and universities should firmly grasp the endogenous integration relationship among the three, and integrate the excellent traditional Chinese culture, socialist core values, and public graduate English classroom teaching. This paper closely combines the personality and professional characteristics of college students, integrating the main social core values, including friendliness, integrity, harmony, patriotism, and dedication and so on, have been integrated into the teaching of the curriculum, summarized as “home, country, and the world”. It can be subdivided into four aspects: personal growth, family harmony, national pride, and a community with a shared future for mankind. Such teaching design and practice aims to effectively helped college students cultivate their national spirit and patriotism, firmly establish cultural and ideological self-confidence, and transform them into their conscious pursuit of value, achieving a good effect of internalization and externalization for a better world civilization.
