Abstract

This paper presents an fine approach to improve the process planning of Rapid Prototyping/Manufacturing (RP/M) .Corrected curves were introduced to maintain the accuracy of slicing layers. A mixed algorithm combined by tangent line and ellipse fitting method was developed to balance accuracy and build time. Through experiment it has been shown that the algorithm effectively build points sets and draw the ellipse curves near the original figure.
