Abstract

The development of technology and science at this time is already getting more advanced, this can be seen from the many innovations in the world of education in the current era, especially learning is constantly experiencing changes by keeping up with modern developments. Therefore, the current technological advances have demanded innovation in learning, i-technological progress must be utilized as best as possible by educators, especially Islamic religious educators. The utilization of technology in the learning process becomes a necessity so that the learning process is not stagnant and rigid. Utilization or innovation in Islamic religious education must be carried out immediately, especially in learning methods. The purpose of this research is to provide descriptions of technology and innovation in education so as to increase the success of learning Islamic education. The method used by researchers here is a qualitative method and the results of this study are that innovation in Islamic religious education can be carried out by utilizing information and communication technology such as power point, internet, e-books, and games.
