Proceedings of the 2021 3rd International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Development (ICLAHD 2021)

It is highly delighted to introduce the 3rd International Conference on Literature, Art and Human Development (ICLAHD 2021), which held during October 29-31, 2021 in Xishuangbanna, China. ICLAHD 2021 is to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Literature, Art and Human Development research to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference is to promote research and developmental activities in Literature, Art and Human Development and another goal is to promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working all around the world. The conference will be held every year to make it an ideal platform for people to share views and experiences in Literature, Art and Human Development research and related areas.

About 120 participants from academic, high-education institutes and other organizations took part in the conference. The conference model was divided into two sessions, including oral presentations and keynote speeches. In the first part, some scholars, whose submissions were selected as the excellent papers, were given 15 minutes to perform their oral presentations one by one. Then in the second part, keynote speakers were each allocated 30-45 minutes to hold their speeches. We were very honored to have Prof. Feng WU, from Journalism and New Media school, Xi’an Jiaotong University as our Conference Chair.

In the keynote presentation part, we invited four professors as our keynote speakers. The first keynote speaker, Prof.Carlotta Viti, Research Center for History and Culture, Beijing Normal University (Zhuhai Campus) & UIC. She performed a speech: The use of language variation and stylistic variation in literary texts. This paper discussed the manner how different language varieties may be used in a literary text in order to express different styles or linguistic registers. The second keynote speaker, A. Prof. Nadeem Akhtar, School of Urban Culture, South China Normal University. He presented an insightful speech: Internationalization of Higher Education Institutions in Guangzhou-area Universities: China’s Educational Soft Power under the Belt and Road Initiative. A. Prof. Marcus T. Anthony, from Beijing Institute of Technology (Zhuhai), China, performed a speech: Education, Artificial Intelligence and Embodiment in the Age of Machines. Our finale keynote speaker, A. Prof. Cunping Yun, Department of Arabic Studies, Northwest Minzu University, China. He presented a talk: A brief introduction of the development of Matulidi school’s theological thought in China. This introduction explored the development of Matulidi school’s theological thought in China.

The proceedings present a selection of high-quality papers submitted to the conference by researchers from universities, research institutes, and industry. All papers were subjected to peer-review by conference committee members and international reviewers. The papers were selected based on their quality and their relevance to the conference. The proceedings present recent advances in the fields of Literature, Art, Human Development and others related research.

I would also like to thank the reviewers for their valuable time and advice which helped in improving the quality of the papers selected for presentation at the conference and for publication in the proceedings.
