Abstract

The Chinese government attaches great importance to English education in senior high schools. However, there are still some problems in the learning process of part of high school students in China. This article reviews the application of Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory in second language acquisition and gives three possible suggestions for current Chinese EFL classrooms.
