Abstract

Single mothers had challenges in raising their children. Religiosity was one of the important for single mothers in Indonesia. Therefore, they had experience in cultivating the religiosity of their children. This study aims to: (i) exploring single mother parenting style in Indonesia (ii) exploring children's religiosity (iii) exploring the experiences of single mother in growing children's religiosity in Indonesia. The type of research used was qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The instruments used were observation and interviews. The collected data were analyzed inductively following the steps of qualitative data analysis by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study were single mothers with different parenting show good child religiosity in the dimensions of belief, experience, and practice. However, the differences in single mother care did not show differences in the dimensions of worship practices and children's knowledge.
