The Influence of Academic Achievements on the Quality of Employment for Undergraduates of Private Higher Education in China

Based on the employment theory and the multi-order Logit model, this paper studies and analyzes the 2017 graduates of School of Economics and Management of the Mandarin University from the perspective of academic performance and personal characteristics. And it is found that the employment of students is closely associated with students’ official weighted average scores, academic performance, professional grades and English grade. The results obtained in this paper show that for the improvment of the quality of employment, students should pay more attention to their academic achievements, at the same time, university should also strengthen the cultivation of students’ learning abilities. Moreover, strict student management and teaching management should be carried out throughout the students’ college life, and students’ practical abilities also should be cultivated.
