It is a great privilege for us to present the proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Health, Social Sciences, and Technology (ICoHSST) held in Palembang, Indonesia, on October 20-21, 2020. This first international conference theme is "Bridging Multi-Sector Approach toward Healthy Population and Poverty Reduction through Health Investment."

This conference is one of our strategies to provide vision is facing significant challenges through hard efforts in creating a healthy population and reducing poverty through multi-sector collaboration. The primary goal of the conference is to provide opportunities for academicians, professionals, practitioners, and policymakers in the field of health, social sciences, and technology to share their experiences, thoughts, and research results both to those involved in their field or those interested in the subject being researched.

The scientific event consisted of plenary sessions, oral presentations, and poster presentations in terms of research results in the scope of health, social sciences, and technology. Since the event took place in the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was set in blended (offline and online) presentations. The offline presentation was intended for the participants who live in Palembang, and the online one was for those who are from out of Palembang. During the event, the organizer implemented strict health protocol on all attendees to prevent the spread of the disease.

We would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to all keynote speakers, session chairs, participants, and committee for their contributions to the 1st ICoHSST. Your active assistance and participation have a great contribution to the success of this conference. We would also like to express our gratitude and appreciation for all of the reviewers who helped us maintain the high quality of manuscripts included in this proceeding and the authors for contributing their research results to the conference.
