Proceedings of the Second Conference on Language, Literature, Education, and Culture (ICOLLITE 2018)
The proceedings of Literacy for Global Citizens constitute a collection of conference papers presented at the UPI 2nd International Conference on Language, Literature, Culture and Education (ICOLLITE 2018) organized on October 24-25, 2018. This conference is held annually and organized by the Faculty of Language and Literature Education of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. This second conference, in particular, aimed to accommodate the growing interests in the research of digital media and literacy in the global context for educational, cultural, and socio-political purposes.
We firmly believe that this conference provided an excellent opportunity for researchers, lecturers, school teachers, and post-graduate students to disseminate and share their research findings related to applied linguistics, literature, culture, education and digital technology.
This proceeding is a compilation of edited papers that were presented at the ICOLLITE 2018 conference covering a broad array of papers on the topics of applied linguistics, culture, literature, and language teaching using technology. We hope that this proceeding will furnish linguists, language educators and culture experts with an excellent reference book to enrich their knowledge and broaden their perspectives on the fields of literacy, culture, and and technology in the language pedagogy.
We wish to convey our profound appreciativeness to all keynote speakers and invited speakers from overseas universities for accepting our invitation and for sharing their ideas during the conference. We thank the advisory board members for providing their support, and the organizing committee members, and colleagues for their serious commitment, dedication, and hard work to make this conference happen.
