Website: https://www.icorte.com/ Welcome to the International Conference on Railway and Transportation 2022. I am Yuwono Wiarco, the director of Indonesian Railway Polytechnic. As the chair of the committee, I will not be able to stand here in front of you, without the wonderful committee members in the organizing committee who have been with me from the very beginning. We envisage three key-values as the foundation in which we put our effort and hard work to make this conference happen: rigorous, impactful, and prestigious. These essential ideals are achieved through various components of the conference. This year ICORT held virtually via Zoom due to the COVID-19 pandemic and via hybrid face-to-face meetings October 6–7, 2022, at Ballroom Politeknik Perkeretaapian Indonesia Madiun, Jl. Tirta Raya, Pojok, Sambirejo, Kec. Jiwan, Kota Madiun, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. We have ensured the accuracy of the acceptance abstracts through double-blind peer reviewers and clear criteria. These have filtered 56 to 34 papers that have been subsequently selected by the outstanding reviewers. The selection process makes the conference the best forum to discuss various topics in the railway and transportation field. All accepted papers at ICORT 2022 will be submitted in the proceeding series. Moreover, we deliver our best through the committee who takes the participants’ best interests at heart; taking care of the participants throughout the conference; as well as appreciating and recognizing outstanding papers by awarding the best paper. This conference is the result of the hard work, support, and dedication of a few parties. We thank all the committee members who have made the conference possible. They have worked throughout the year to propose sessions, review several submissions, answer queries, arrange schedules, and respond to last-minute requests. We also thank Texas A&M University, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Universitas Brawijaya, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya, Institut Teknologi Adhi Tama Surabaya, Universitas Merdeka Madiun, Atmajaya University, Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Makassar, Universitas Tridharma, Politeknik Ujung Pandang, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Badan Riset Nasional (BRIN), and PT.
