- Abstract
Aircraft Paint Removal is an activity that has a high risk to cause occupational accident. Human factor is the main determinant of occupational accident. One of the human factors is the dangerous behavior of the workers. Dangerous behaviors are unsafe acts in work relating to the knowledge, attitudes and actions of workers when carrying out their work against the dangers that exist around the worker. Bad knowledge, attitudes and actions may pose a risk of occupational accidents. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that affect the risk of occupational accidents on Aircraft Paint Removal workers in PT. X. This research is a cross sectional study with Chi-Square statistical analysis. Methods of data collection is done by distributing questionnaires to workers. Dependent variable in this research is the risk of occupational accident and independent variable that is knowledge, attitude, and action of worker. The population in this study is 62 Aircraft Paint Removal workers, then do the sampling in simple random sampling and obtained 34 people. The result of Chi-Square statistical test shows that there is influence of knowledge, attitude, and action to the risk of occupational accident on Aircraft Paint Removal workers in PT. X significantly with p value 0,026 for knowledge variable, p value 0,00 for attitude variable, and p value 0,001 for action variable. Suggestions that can be given from researchers to the company is to provide socialization of potential dangers that exist in Aircraft Paint Removal so that workers can be more careful in working and punishment to workers who violate regulations such as not using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working.
